If you're not sure where you fit, or whether MLD is right for you — don't worry. You're not expected to know exactly what you need.

Keep reading below for more information about how I can help — or feel free to get in touch if you'd like some guidance before booking.

Why Lymphatic Health Matters

The lymphatic system plays a vital role in immune defence, fluid balance, and healing. When it’s under stress — whether from surgery, trauma, or chronic conditions — lymph fluid can build up, leading to swelling, discomfort, and delayed recovery.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialised technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymphatic fluid, helping to:

  • Reduce swelling

  • Support post-surgical healing

  • Ease discomfort in chronic lymphatic conditions

  • Improve general wellbeing

My Approach

I’m a qualified lymphoedema therapist — registered with MLDUK as a DLT-level practitioner and a member of the British Lymphology Society. I’ve completed accredited specialist training in post-operative MLD, and regularly support patients navigating:

  • Cosmetic and orthopaedic surgery recovery

  • Lipoedema and lymphoedema

  • Chronic swelling, bloating, or fluid retention

  • Hormonal and immune-related symptoms

Each appointment is tailored to your specific needs and focused on the treatment you’ve booked.

Post-Surgical MLD

Cosmetic | Orthopaedic | Lipoedema Surgery

You can begin MLD as early as the day after surgery, though it’s important to follow your surgeon’s specific guidelines.

I’ve supported patients recovering from:

  • Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)

  • Liposuction

  • Arm lift (brachioplasty)

  • Breast augmentation

  • BBL (Brazilian butt lift)

  • Rhinoplasty

  • Orthopaedic procedures

  • Lipoedema surgeries

Post-op MLD encourages healing, reduces swelling, and supports the body’s natural recovery process.

Lymphoedema Management

Lymphoedema is a chronic condition that causes swelling due to the build-up of lymph fluid in the tissues. It may be:

  • Primary lymphoedema, present from birth or due to underdeveloped lymph vessels

  • Secondary lymphoedema, developing later in life — often following cancer treatment, surgery, trauma, venous disease, or immobility

Lymphoedema is typically managed with Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), compression, exercise, skin care and infection prevention.

With my specialist training and registration, I support patients in managing their symptoms, improving drainage, and maintaining long-term comfort and function.

Lipoedema Support

Lipoedema is a long-term condition affecting the body's connective and fat tissues, predominantly observed in women.

The disorder is characterised by an unusual and symmetrical accumulation of fat, primarily in the lower body regions such as the hips, buttocks, and legs, though it can affect the arms as well.

It leads to a disproportionate body shape, as the affected areas grow out of proportion to the rest of the body. The fat deposits in lipoedema differ from typical body fat in composition and behaviour. As a result, the skin covering these areas often develops an irregular, bumpy texture. The development typically begins during periods of hormonal change, such as puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Researchers believe there is a genetic inherited condition, and further exploration in to this link is ongoing.

Those with lipoedema frequently experience sensations of heaviness in the affected limbs, easy bruising, swelling, fatigue, and pain. These symptoms, combined with the physical changes, can significantly impact mobility and ability to perform everyday tasks. Many feel misunderstood or dismissed when seeking help.
