Oncology massage & Scar therapy

Two specialist, clinically informed treatments, for healing, recovery, and ongoing support

Supporting those recovering from surgery, living with the effects of cancer treatment, or managing scar tissue.

Treatment is always tailored to the individual, with a focus on safety, comfort, and long-term tissue health.

Oncology massage is a gentle treatment following cancer care, including surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy.

Why this matters

Many people are still told they cannot access hands-on treatment due to the long-standing myth that “massage spreads cancer.”

When appropriately adapted, this is not the case.

Around 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer in their lifetime, yet access to safe, supportive touch remains limited.

How treatment may help

Oncology treatment offers gentle, adapted care and may help to:

  • Ease pain, fatigue, and anxiety

  • Support rest and relaxation

  • Reduce feelings of isolation

  • Provide a sense of calm and comfort

  • Reconnect body and mind

Even a small amount of supportive touch can make a meaningful difference.

My approach

Treatment is adapted for those:

  • Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy

  • Living with or beyond cancer

  • In remission or receiving palliative care

Each session is guided by how you are feeling on the day, creating a calm, supportive space where you remain in control throughout.

What to expect

  • A full consultation prior to treatment

  • A gentle, individualised approach

  • Treatment adapted to your energy levels and symptoms

  • Flexibility within the session, including rest where needed

A final note

Oncology treatment is still not widely known, and relatively few practitioners are trained in it.

For many people, however, it can provide meaningful support during a challenging time.

Whether you are seeking comfort, relief, or simply space to feel cared for, you are very welcome here.

Scar therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach to support healing, movement, and comfort following surgery, injury, or trauma.

Scar therapy may help with:

  • Pain, tightness, sensitivity, or numbness

  • Pulling, puckering, or restricted movement

  • Fibrosis or underlying adhesions (for example following surgery or liposuction)

  • Changes in texture or appearance

  • Reconnection with the area, particularly where confidence or trauma may be involved

Common scars I work with:

  • Post-surgical scars (including C-section, orthopaedic, and cosmetic procedures)

  • Post-cancer surgeries (e.g. mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction)

  • Cosmetic procedures (e.g. abdominoplasty, breast surgery, rhinoplasty)

  • Orthopaedic surgeries (e.g. joint replacements)

  • Abdominal surgeries, including C-sections

  • Burns or traumatic injuries

  • Spinal, cardiac, and transplant scars

  • Oral and facial surgeries
